My education Influences timeline was a meaningful reflection on how I came to be where I am today, in the Bachelor of Education program. While I was aware of how long and hard I had to work to get into the program, putting in a timeline to choose my top five influences was eye-opening.
Within my timeline, I reflect on my daughter who was diagnosed with Autism in 2024. As an educator and a CEA, I was embarrassed and confused about how I missed the signs in my own child. I have committed myself to continuing my learning journey to learn to the best of my ability about exceptionalities and how to support students and children in a variety of different ways.
